A young Pakistani man living in Greece has died in a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the immigrant community, turning a routine winter precaution into a fatal mistake.
Imran Muhammad, a resident of the Halandri area of Athens, lost his life after sleeping in a closed room with an electric heater switched on. According to sources, the heater caused a severe drop in oxygen levels, leading to suffocation and his death on the spot.
Imran had been living in Greece for the past 14 years and had recently received his legal documents. Friends say he was actively preparing to return to Pakistan, filled with hope after years of struggle abroad.
A close friend had reportedly warned him just hours earlier to switch off the heater before sleeping, cautioning that it could be deadly in a sealed room. Imran brushed off the advice, saying he was not a child and knew what he was doing.
That moment of carelessness proved fatal.
What should have been the first night of warmth in the winter cold became Imran Muhammad’s final night. In a single moment, years of hard work, dreams of homecoming, and the joy of legal recognition were lost forever.
