In a heartbreaking turn of events, a female polio worker has reportedly been raped and robbed in the village of Allah Bakhsh Jakhrani located in Jacobabad Sindh.
According to media reports, the authorities have responded promptly by arresting the suspect and recovering weapons.
During a presser, Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Murri and SSP Sumir Noor Chana shared that DNA samples from the victim have been sent to Jamshoro for analysis.
Initially, the incident was recorded as a robbery based on the victim’s statement. However, officials revealed that charges of assault will now be included after new information comes to light.
Deputy Commissioner Murri mentioned that the victim was initially reluctant to discuss the assault due to concerns related to the tribal social structure. Nevertheless, she courageously revealed the details of the attack in court proceedings.
