The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to extend the deadline for filing tax returns, following complaints of system slowdowns and technical issues faced by taxpayers. With the current deadline of September 30, many individuals have reported difficulties in submitting their returns due to the overwhelming load on FBR’s online system.
In response, the FBR has extended the working hours of its field offices and assured the public that technical teams are working to resolve these issues. A final decision on extending the deadline is expected after the Prime Minister’s return.
