    European heavyweights march into Champions League quarters

    UEFA Champions League delivered a night of dominance and drama as Europe’s elite sealed quarter-final spots.

    Liverpool stormed past Galatasaray 4-0 (4-1 agg), with Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai leading the charge. FC Barcelona thrashed Newcastle United 7-2 (8-3 agg), inspired by Robert Lewandowski, while Bayern Munich cruised past Atalanta 4-1 (10-2 agg) with Harry Kane on target. Atletico Madrid advanced 7-5 on aggregate despite a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

    Real Madrid outclassed Manchester City 2-1 (5-1 agg), with Vinicius Junior scoring twice after Bernardo Silva saw red, while Erling Haaland netted a consolation. Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain eased past Chelsea 3-0 (8-2 agg), and Arsenal beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 (3-1 agg). Sporting Lisbon completed a stunning comeback to eliminate Bodo/Glimt 5-3 on aggregate.

    Opinion: With the majority of the heavyweights marching to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, it is very difficult to predict who goes through, but one thing’s for sure: We will get to see entertaining football.
