New owner of Twitter Elon Musk once again shows his mighty power and suspends accounts of high-profile left-wing journalists of CNN, NYT and Washington Post.
The twitter took this action on Thursday night and didn’t inform the journos before taking this stern action. The journalists whose accounts have been suspended are CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The New York Times’ Ryan Mac, The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell and other journalists who took Elon Musk on-slaught during covering Musk in recent times and they are permanently suspended.
Neither Twitter nor Elon Musk gave their version on these suspensions of journalists from Twitter. Also there was no explanation from the platform precisely why the journalists were exiled. Musk rudely claimed that journalists had violated his ‘doxxing’ policy by sharing his live location, described as ‘assasination coordinates; though none f the above suspended journalists had shared Musk’s live location.
These bans of journalists accounts raise a number of questions about the ‘free speech’ and the future of the Twitter, which has been referred to as a digital town square.
