Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 16 series, along with four variants: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. Now that the latest series of iPhones has hit the stores, most consumers are so excited to catch hold of these devices.
However, experts in this field claim that one should not rush but wait for the iPhone 17 series; otherwise, he might miss out on impressive upgrades in the series.
Here are five reasons why waiting a little longer might be smarter as far as buying the iPhone 16 is concerned.
- Display size: The iPhone 17 series in 2025 will have a bigger display size than the current iPhone 16 models. The iPhone 17 could bring in new screen sizes at 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches, while the last models of the iPhone 16 have 6.12 inches and 6.69 inches for the screen sizes. This would provide a more immersed view.
- Enhanced front camera: Although the series in iPhone 16 will be said to feature a 12-megapixel front camera, there will be rumors of massive improvements with the iPhone 17 with a 24-megapixel camera. Such developments might result in sharper and more detailed photos making waiting worthwhile.
- Increased RAM: Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu believe that the 2024 ‘iPhone 17 Pro’ and 2024 ‘iPhone 17 Pro Max’ may come in with 12GB of RAM. It means a 50% increase compared to the 8GB the ‘iPhone 16 Pro’ and ‘iPhone 16 Pro Max’ had, it might set some performance and enhance multi-tasking for non-Pro standard ‘iPhone 17’.
- iPhone 17 Air rumor: Plus could be dead gone; instead, it is the ‘Air’. The ‘Plus’ varieties of iPhones may be replaced by a new and thinner variant of the iPhone 17 series that is more affordable.
- Under-display Face ID and Anti-reflective Display: Under-display Face ID may likely be on the iPhone 17 series. In this way, the technology will provide enhanced security without necessitating the appearance of a notch. Apple is also claimed to possess an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant show as well. According to rumors, it may be tougher than the prevalent Ceramic Shield screen on earlier models.
It is true the iPhone 16 series punches quite hard, but it seems fairly worthwhile to wait for the iPhone 17 when you have the added upgrades in terms of display, camera, performance, and security.
