In a bold cinematic move, Sardaar Ji 3, starring Indian Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistan’s beloved actress Hania Aamir, has officially been released across multiple countries — including over 40 cinemas in Pakistan — despite facing a ban in India due to Hania Aamir’s involvement.
Sardaar Ji 3 marks a historic cultural stand, as the producers and Diljit Dosanjh himself refused to bow to political pressure or remove Hania from the cast, sending a powerful message to anti-Pakistan elements and the Modi-led establishment. For the first time, an Indian production openly defied divisive lobbies and released the film overseas with its original cast intact.
A Must-Watch for Bold Reasons
As fans of both Diljit and Hania, we made it a point to catch the film on its first day at Arena Cinema — and were lucky enough to find our favorite seats. There are two strong reasons to watch Sardaar Ji 3:
- Hania Aamir’s cinematic breakthrough on the big screen
- Diljit’s fearless stance and commitment to artistic integrity.
While we hadn’t seen the previous two films (Sardaar Ji in 2015 and Sardaar Ji 2 in 2016), this third installment holds its ground as an entertaining and well-produced sequel.
Review: Entertainment with Soul
The cinematography is outstanding, with picturesque locations beautifully captured. The music, led by Diljit himself, delivers catchy, enjoyable songs — especially the romantic number Sohni Lagdi, picturized on Diljit and Hania, evoking Shah Rukh-Kajol vibes.

As for performances, Diljit Dosanjh excels as always, while Hania Aamir delivers her most powerful big-screen performance to date. She looks radiant, acts naturally, and shares strong chemistry with Diljit. Jasmine Bajwa impresses in a dual role — as the second female lead and a witch — while Manav Vij, Nasir Chinyoti, Monica Sharma, and Gulshan Grover all leave their mark despite limited screen time.
Amar Hundal’s direction stands out as the strongest aspect of the film. His control over visuals, pacing, and character balance enhances the overall experience. VFX work is also top-notch, adding cinematic depth to the story.
Final Verdict
While the story may not offer anything groundbreaking, the film’s strengths — especially its music, visuals, and cast — make it worth watching. Most importantly, the film carries symbolic weight for South Asian unity, freedom of expression, and cross-border artistic collaboration.
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Sardaar Ji 3 is more than just entertainment — it’s a statement. One that celebrates art above politics, and unity over division. Watch it for Hania Aamir, Diljit Dosanjh, and a historic moment in regional cinema.
