NCCIA Arrests Dark Web Predator in Lahore
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has made a major breakthrough by arresting a Lahore-based suspect for producing and distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online. The man, identified as Asim Muhammad Qasim, had been involved in child exploitation activities on the Dark Web and social media platforms since 2008. His arrest follows detailed coordination between Interpol and NCCIA Pakistan.
How the Dark Web Predator Was Tracked
The investigation began after Interpol shared intelligence gathered from Operations Rhodes and Eisberg, global investigations led by the Queensland Police Service in Australia. During the 6th Victim Identification Task Force Asia in Singapore (October 2024), analysts discovered digital material distributed by a user named “MYLOVEDLOLICON MYLOVEDMANGA.” The disturbing videos depicted the abuse of minor girls and led investigators to uncover a secret darknet group called “Rainbow.”
Global Links of the 2008–2022 Child Abuse Network
Investigators revealed that this Lahore-based predator was connected with international offenders — including “SASSY” (Brazil) and “TWINKLE” (Portugal) — who had already been arrested in related operations. Data seized from these offenders included identifiers such as “BABY HEART 2017” and “clover@th.com,” linking them to the same darknet group.
Evidence later suggested that “MYLOVEDLOLICON” was also operating under aliases “BROWN” and “ABD CLOVER,” all connected to the Baby Heart site, and was involved in the sexual abuse of his two minor nieces.
How the Lahore Suspect Was Identified
Through OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and cyber reconnaissance, NCCIA Technical Assistant Anees ur Rehman traced the suspect to Ashraf Masjid, Multan, and later confirmed his identity as Asim Muhammad Qasim, a resident of Lahore.
Further digital trails showed that Qasim used a Google account “mylovedmanga@gmail.com”, linked to a WhatsApp number +923036148987, registered under the name Malik Asim. Both accounts were active in uploading and distributing child abuse videos.
NCMEC Cyber Tipline Reports Confirm Ongoing Crimes
Three Cyber Tipline reports from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) — report numbers 127256581, 127263110, and 127817783 — were shared via Interpol, confirming the suspect’s involvement.
The reports documented years of online grooming, CSAM production, and commercial sexual exploitation of minors, spanning from 2008 to 2022. So far, seven minor victims have been identified, but investigations suggest there could be more.
Digital Evidence and Legal Proceedings
Authorities have recovered digital devices from the suspect’s possession containing incriminating material. Evidence collected establishes clear violations under:
-
Sections 21, 22A, and 28 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016
-
Section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)
The competent authority has approved the registration of an FIR, and investigators are working to uncover the involvement of additional individuals and identify more victims.
NCCIA’s Continued Efforts Against Online Exploitation
The NCCIA reaffirmed its commitment to combatting child exploitation, online grooming, and CSAM production. Authorities are intensifying efforts to monitor dark web activity and work closely with international cybercrime agencies to prevent similar offenses in the future.
This arrest marks a major success for Pakistan’s digital law enforcement, proving that long-hidden predators on the Dark Web can no longer remain anonymous.
