The ANF arrested a student in Islamabad, who was studying for the CSS exam, for allegedly providing drugs to schools and student residences.
As per a spokesperson from ANF, increased efforts to reduce drug use in schools have resulted in this important arrest.
The arrest was made during a raid close to a private student dorm in the national capital, relying on intelligence information. 120 grams of a hazardous and valuable substance was seized from the possession of the accused, an educated young person from Chagai.
Even though he was busy preparing for his CSS exam, the young man was said to be distributing drugs to students in a prominent educational institution and hostels in Islamabad.
In the first round of questioning, the accused admitted to peddling drugs to college students and hostel residents. He is facing charges under the Narcotics Control Act, and additional inquiries are being conducted.
Besides this arrest, ANF has also been conducting operations against drug trafficking throughout the country, resulting in the seizure of 234 kilograms of drugs valued at more than 20 million rupees in four different operations, leading to the apprehension of five individuals.
