COO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Salman Naseer and captain Babar Azam are very upset over the leak of his WhatsApp conversation with Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
The leak of this private communication between Salman Naseer and Babar Azam has raised concerns about maintaining the confidentiality of discussions between players and PCB officials.
Salman Naseer is worried that players may become reluctant to share matters with him in the future, fearing that their private conversations might be disclosed.
This controversy has led to a trust deficit between the national team players and the PCB COO, according to senior sports journalist Sohail Imran. Babar Azam is also said to be annoyed by the leak, as it jeopardizes the privacy of sensitive discussions in the future.

The initial leak was shared ‘Live’ on ARY News when an alleged ‘private’ WhatsApp chat between Babar Azam and a senior PCB official was aired by controversial sports journalist Shoaib Jatt, indicating that senior management was not responding to the captain’s messages.
This incident stirred public debate, and netizens criticized the ARY TV management and Shoaib Jatt for what they considered an unethical move.
Sadly ARY Management has not taken any concrete action against the anchor as he is still ‘bashing the captain Babar Azam’ on screen as well as on social platforms.
The leaked conversation revealed Babar Azam’s attempts to contact PCB officials, particularly Chairman Zaka Ashraf, COO Salman Naseer, and Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla. The leak has led to concerns about the privacy and confidentiality of communications within the PCB.
