According to a whistleblower complaint reviewed by The Post, Hadley Gamble, the CNBC correspondent who was involved in an “inappropriate relationship” with NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell until 2019, was also romantically linked to David Bonderman, the billionaire chairman of private equity firm TPG.
The complaint, filed in 2015 by former TPG executive Adam Levine, alleged that Bonderman lavished gifts and benefits on his “female companions,” including Gamble, and took them on frequent trips on TPG’s private jet.
Gamble’s lawyer downplayed her client’s ties to Bonderman, and McKie also pushed back on the suggestion that Gamble’s past relationships were relevant to her claims of sexual harassment and discrimination.
What is the reason for Jeff Shell’s departure from NBC?
On Sunday, Jeff Shell, NBCUniversal’s former CEO, resigned from his position after admitting to having an “inappropriate relationship” with a colleague. According to reports, he had an affair with CNBC International anchor Hadley Gamble for about a decade, which ended in 2019. Gamble’s lawyer has accused Shell of “sexual harassment and sex discrimination.” Comcast, NBCUniversal’s parent company, announced that Shell left his position after an investigation into “inappropriate conduct.” As of now, there is no word on who will replace him as CEO.
