Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar strongly condemned the relentless Israeli siege and intense bombing in Palestine over the past 45 days. He appealed to world powers on Monday to intervene and put an end to the tragic loss of innocent lives, including minors, emphasizing the alarming situation as a “children holocaust” unfolding in Gaza.
As Israel expanded its military operations in the region, the Palestinian health authority reported a devastating death toll of 13,000, with thousands being children. Gaza, labeled the world’s “largest open-air prison,” has endured Israeli atrocities for the last five decades, resulting in a perpetual humanitarian crisis due to constant blockade.

The ongoing conflict escalated when Hamas, a Palestinian group, initiated a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, citing retribution for the worsening conditions under Israeli occupation. In response, Israeli warplanes relentlessly targeted residential neighborhoods in Gaza, reducing a significant part of the territory to rubble.
Earlier this month, Pakistan participated in a joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh. The summit took place amid widespread global condemnation of Israel’s aerial and ground offensive in Gaza, sparking a renewed call for urgent international intervention.
