Samsung is reportedly set to launch the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2024, in San Jose, California, which is a month earlier than the company’s typical flagship smartphone announcement timeframe.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are expected to begin on January 18 (January 19 in South Korea), with pre-ordered devices reaching customers between January 26 and January 30.
The general availability for the Galaxy S24 series is slated to start on January 30, 2024. While pricing details haven’t been disclosed, expectations are that Samsung will maintain prices similar to the Galaxy S23 series, with the Galaxy S24 starting at around $900 and the S24+ and S24 Ultra priced at approximately $1,000 and $1,200, respectively.
The Galaxy S24 is anticipated to be Samsung’s first AI Phone, featuring in-house developed AI features, including a potential rebranding of Bixby to Galaxy AI.
The launch event location in San Jose was chosen due to close collaboration with Google and competition with Apple, and the early launch aims to boost revenue for the first quarter of the year.
