Bollywood superstar Tabu has been selected for a Hollywood project

Tabu, a legendary Indian superstar, and iconic Bollywood personality has been picked for a top-notch Hollywood project. Tabu, the renowned Indian actress, has been cast in a recurring role in the upcoming Max prequel series “Dune: Prophecy.”

Tabu starred, “Dune: The Sisterhood,” the series is inspired by the novel “Sisterhood of Dune” and set in the universe of Frank Herbert’s “Dune” saga, taking place 10,000 years before the events of Paul Atreides.

Tabu will play Sister Francesca, a character described as strong, intelligent, and alluring, whose return to the palace disrupts the balance of power.

Known for her acclaimed performances in Indian cinema, Tabu has won multiple awards and garnered recognition for her versatile roles.

Alison Schapker serves as showrunner and executive producer. Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and serves as executive producer. Anna Foerster executive-produced and directed multiple episodes including the first.

Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts executive produce with Brian Herbert, along with Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert as executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate.

Anderson serves as co-producer. The series is co-produced by Max and Legendary Television with Legendary also producing the film franchise.

“Dune: Prophecy” also features a star-studded cast and is helmed by showrunner Alison Schapker. Despite facing delays and creative changes, the series is highly anticipated, especially after the success of the recent “Dune” film.

Two new “Dune” films have been released to date, with “Dune: Part Two” debuting in theaters in March. Collectively, the two films have grossed over $1.1 billion to date. A third film is in the works.
