The Balaj Tipu murder case has taken a dramatic new turn as the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) declared Khawaja Aqeel, also known as Gogi Butt, guilty. According to JIT sources, Gogi Butt planned the killing of Amir Balaj and remained in contact with Tayyfi Butt, the main suspect in the case.
Investigators revealed that Gogi Butt has been linked to several previous murder cases involving the Tipu family. Sources confirmed that the JIT will soon request the cancellation of his bail in the court.
After Amir Balaj’s killing, Gogi Butt initially went into hiding. Later, he managed to secure interim bail, which is valid until September 15, 2025. Meanwhile, Tayyfi Butt is still on the run and has been declared a proclaimed offender.
Amir Balaj Tipu was killed on February 18, 2024, during a wedding ceremony near Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore. The event was being held in a private housing society for the son of former DSP Akbar Iqbal.
During the ceremony, an attacker opened fire, injuring Amir Balaj and two others. They were rushed to the hospital, but Amir Balaj could not survive his injuries. His guards fired back, killing the attacker on the spot.
The Balaj Tipu murder case continues to expose new connections and conspiracies, with the role of Gogi Butt now under serious legal scrutiny.
