A disturbing video widespread a few days ago depicting a group of armed men thrashing a security guard to a savage assault at DHA Phase 6, Lahore, gained huge attention across social media platforms.
The video’s circulation ignited a wave of outrage among online users who sternly criticized the authorities for their perceived lack of response.
In due course, the authorities heeded the public’s outcry and initiated legal action by issuing arrest warrants for the individuals responsible. As per the latest update, several members of the assailant group have been apprehended, while an active pursuit continues for their remaining accomplices.
The distressing incident was captured on CCTV footage, capturing a group of men emerging from a Hilux Revo vehicle and mercilessly attacking a security guard in a public location during a busy period. The footage illustrates an elderly security guard’s valiant attempt to obstruct the pickup truck.
Upon the Hilux’s halt at the roadside, five men, including the driver, disembarked from the vehicle and launched a brutal assault on the senior security personnel. Shockingly, the driver aimed a rifle at the guard in an apparent attempt to intimidate him.
Fellow on-duty guards promptly rushed to the scene to rescue their beleaguered colleague from the vicious onslaught. The video swiftly attained viral status, compelling numerous individuals to demand immediate action against the culprits involved in the merciless assault on the elderly guard.
