BCCI complaint against Pakistan players has created fresh tension in the Asia Cup 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially lodged a case against Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf. The complaint was filed with the International Cricket Council (ICC) after the two cricketers were accused of crossing the line during the India-Pakistan Super Four clash on September 21.
According to reports, the Indian team management demanded disciplinary action. They said both players showed behavior that went beyond acceptable on-field aggression. The BCCI complaint against Pakistan players highlights two separate incidents that stirred controversy.
Sahibzada Farhan celebrated his half-century with a gun-style gesture. Many fans and officials criticized the act, calling it provocative and insensitive. The moment went viral on social media and sparked strong reactions from both nations.
Haris Rauf also faced criticism for his conduct. After dismissing Sanju Samson, he celebrated in an aggressive manner and made gestures seen as provocative. Indian fans in the stadium were chanting “Kohli, Kohli,” reminding Rauf of Virat Kohli’s famous sixes against him in 2022. He was also accused of using offensive language towards openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma. Both youngsters responded with solid batting performances.
This issue adds to ongoing friction between the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board. Earlier, the PCB had filed complaints against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for his post-match remarks. With both boards exchanging letters to the ICC, the matter may soon lead to official hearings.
