Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem and javelin thrower Yasir Sultan have qualified for the final of the Asian Athletics Championship. Arshad did very well, throwing the javelin 86.34 meters in his first attempt. Yasir also did a great job, throwing 76.70 meters. The final will take place tomorrow at 1:10 pm Pakistan time.
Arshad is a famous athlete who has won many awards. He recently won the Best Asian Athlete Award. He is now participating in the Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea. Pakistan has sent a team of five athletes to the championship. Arshad will lead the team. Other athletes include Shajar Abbas and Mueed Baloch, who will run in the 400-meter sprint. Tameen Khan will run in the 100-meter sprint for women. The Pakistan Athletics Federation is hopeful that the athletes will do well and win medals. Pakistan has won eight medals in the Asian Athletics Championships so far. The team is working hard to improve on this record.
