A tragic army helicopter crash Thakdas has claimed the lives of five brave Pakistan Army personnel. According to ISPR, the MI-17 helicopter crash-landed near Hudor village, about 12 kilometers from Thakdas Cantonment, at around 10:00 a.m. on September 1, 2025. The helicopter was on a routine training flight when it developed a technical fault and crashed.
The crew members who embraced shahadat were: Major Atif (Pilot in Command), Major Faisal (Co-pilot), N/Sub Maqbool (Flight Engineer), Hav Jahangir (Crew Chief), and Naik Amir (Crew Chief). Their sacrifice is being remembered as a great loss to the nation.
ISPR said the army helicopter crash Thakdas happened during a regular training mission.
