Google’s Android 14 update has faced issues, particularly for users with multiple profiles on Pixel phones. These problems, which initially affected Pixel 6 owners, included device crashes, loss of local storage access, and various other issues.
Users with other Pixel devices, such as Pixel 7 and Pixel Fold, have also reported similar problems, like being unable to access their phones or getting stuck in boot loops.
Google has acknowledged the issue, specifically related to multiple profiles (including guests and child users), and is working on fixes.

They have issued a Google Play system update to mitigate the problem and advise against setting up secondary users until a full Android 14 update is released.
For those already affected, an upcoming system update should resolve local storage access without data loss, and data recovery solutions are in development. Google apologizes for the inconvenience and promises further updates on the matter.
