He explained that he had come across the news on an English website, translated it, and posted it on his page. Although he chose not to name the source, he expressed deep embarrassment over the situation. The actor admitted that he initially thought the post was a joke, but it quickly went viral.

The day before, Khalid Anam had shared a Facebook post stating, “Last week, a book fair was held at a college in Lahore. According to the college administration’s report, 1,200 shawarmas, 800 biryanis, 900 burgers, 1,800 Coca-Colas, and only 35 books were sold.”
