Former Test cricketer Aaqib Javed is expected to be appointed as the head coach of Pakistan’s white ball cricket team.
According to media reports, discussions are underway to give Aaqib Javed the responsibility for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe and other future matches. A final decision on the matter is expected soon. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint a full-time domestic coach for the white-ball team to ensure stability and long-term planning.
It is worth noting that former head coach Gary Kirsten resigned before Pakistan’s tour of Australia. In his absence, red-ball team head coach Jason Gillespie was given interim charge for the Australia series.
Looking ahead, the Pakistan cricket team has a packed schedule. From November 24 to December 5, the team will face Zimbabwe in a bilateral series. Following that, from December 10 to January 7, Pakistan will play a crucial series against South Africa, which includes three T20s, three ODIs, and two Test matches.
