A tearful 911 call reporting a domestic dispute was placed months before a dentist and his wife were found shot dead in their home, according to dispatch records cited in U.S. media reports, adding a troubling layer to an already complex investigation.
The call was made around 2:45 a.m. on April 15, when an unidentified woman contacted emergency services but hung up before speaking at length. Dispatchers later categorized the incident as a “domestic dispute,” though assistance was ultimately deemed unnecessary.
Audio obtained by U.S. media outlets shows the woman crying throughout the call while repeatedly telling the dispatcher that she was “OK” and “just emotional.” When asked why she had called 911, the woman said she and her partner had an argument but insisted nothing physical had occurred.
Police logs do not identify the caller, and there is no public confirmation of whether the call was directly linked to the couple later found dead.
Months later, the dentist, 37, and his wife, 39, were discovered fatally shot inside their residence during the early morning hours of December 30. The couple’s two children—a four-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy—and their dog were found unharmed inside the home.
Authorities said there were no obvious signs of forced entry and no weapon was recovered from the scene. Investigators have stated they do not believe the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
The bodies were discovered after coworkers grew concerned when the dentist failed to show up for work and requested a wellness check. Subsequent frantic 911 calls captured the moment friends entered the home and discovered a bloodied body, while children could be heard inside.
Family members say the children are now in the care of relatives and remain unaware of their parents’ deaths. Police have released footage of a “person of interest” seen near the home, though relatives have cautioned against concluding.
Investigators have not disclosed a motive, and the case remains under active investigation.
