Tesla CEO Elon Musk and musician Grimes have welcomed their third child, as revealed in Walter Isaacson’s upcoming biography of Musk, reported People Magazine’s report .
The child, named Techno Mechanicus but also referred to as “Tau,” has been welcomed into their family, although specific details like birthplace and birth date remain undisclosed in the biography.
Elon Musk, aged 52, and Grimes, aged 35 (whose real name is Claire Boucher), are no strangers to unique baby names. Their first child together, originally named X Æ A-12, was later adjusted to X Æ A-Xii, with the affectionate nickname “X.” Following this, in December 2021, they welcomed another child, Exa Dark Siderael, also known as “Y,” through surrogacy. This happened three months after they publicly announced their separation after three years of dating.
Grimes had expressed her desire for more children in a March 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, stating, “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”
Elon Musk has a total of six children from his previous marriage to Canadian author Justine Wilson. Tragically, their first child together, Nevada Alexander, born in 2002, passed away at 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Following this loss, the couple welcomed twins Griffin and Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Of note, one of Musk’s twins, now 18 years old, initiated legal proceedings to officially change her name and gender, expressing her desire to distance herself from her father, as reported by People.
In 2006, Justine Wilson gave birth to triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. Adding to his growing family, court records obtained by Insider on July 6 revealed that Musk secretly welcomed another set of twins, a son named Strider and a daughter named Azure, in November 2021, just a few weeks before he and Grimes welcomed their daughter together. These twins were born in Austin, Texas.
In a recent interview with Wired, Grimes discussed the dynamics of co-parenting with Elon and their collaborative approach to shaping their children’s educational paths. She emphasized her commitment to maintaining a strong and supportive relationship with her kids, expressing hope that they would embrace their family culture rather than reject it.
