Dr Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, who earned the prestigious title of Miss Pakistan Universal 2023 a few months ago, has been on an incredible journey. After representing Pakistan in the Miss World Tourism 2023 contest held in Sri Lanka, she is now poised to carry the Pakistani flag to Vietnam.
From July 20 to 30, Dr Kapotaqkhy participated in various tourism-related activities in Sri Lanka, joining contestants from 40 countries in promoting Sri Lanka’s tourism sector. Her engagements ranged from gracing the runway in elegant Sri Lankan designer outfits to exploring vibrant cities like Colombo and Kandy, all in support of Sri Lanka’s tourism advancement.
The next chapter of her journey takes her to Vietnam, where she will represent Pakistan in the prestigious Miss Earth 2023 pageant, ranked as the third-largest pageant worldwide. Among the talented Pakistani titleholders, Dr Kapotaqkhy was selected for this prestigious role, and she is determined to excel.
Participating in the Miss Earth pageant comes with unique challenges. Delegates are required to create seven videos highlighting their commitment to environmental conservation and the protection of our planet. The Miss Earth Pageant is renowned for its focus on environmental awareness and advocacy.
Dr. Chanchala’s passionate advocacy centers on tree planting—a seemingly simple yet profoundly impactful endeavor. Trees serve as nature’s air purifiers, filtering pollutants and improving air quality. They provide vital habitats for diverse wildlife, regulate temperatures, and play a crucial role in managing the water cycle, a critical concern in Pakistan to prevent devastating floods.
Dr Kapotaqkhy is actively collaborating with organizations dedicated to safeguarding Pakistan’s environment through various tree-planting initiatives. Additionally, she has taken up the noble task of cleaning Karachi’s Sea View area, addressing the litter issue and contributing to a cleaner, more environmentally conscious Pakistan.
Her unwavering commitment exemplifies her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the world. Since 2005, Miss Earth has been a platform for promoting environmental awareness and engaging contestants in championing environmental preservation, and Dr Kapotaqkhy is proudly continuing this legacy.
