Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, met with Mariam Al Hammadi, Director of The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), and other dignitaries.
Major General Al Shamsi praised TBHF’s significant humanitarian efforts and emphasized the importance of collaboration in humanitarian work.
He acknowledged TBHF’s support for international programs in healthcare, education, and other fields, commending the leadership of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohamed Al Qasimi.
Mariam Al Hammadi expressed gratitude for Sharjah Police’s continuous support for TBHF and recognized their societal role. Earlier this year, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi inaugurated the Home for a Home initiative, which provides safe homes for refugee and displaced families in partnership with the UNHCR.

Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed visited the Kakuma camp in Kenya and inspected the medical clinic funded by TBHF.
He praised the completed homes for refugees and emphasized the importance of sustainable humanitarian projects. The initiative accommodates over 2,030 refugees and includes a water infrastructure network to provide clean water to refugees and host communities.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to supporting refugees worldwide and expressed hope that these efforts would improve the future of needy communities and help them overcome challenges.
