Naeem Haider Panjotha, the legal representative for former prime minister Imran Khan, shared his message to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistanis after meeting him in the jail on Monday.
After a one hour and 45-minute meeting with Imran Khan in jail on Monday afternoon, Panjotha addressed the media. He disclosed that Imran Khan is currently enduring uncomfortable conditions and is subjected to C-Class jail facilities” at Attock Jail.
He described his conversation with Imran Khan, stating that he inquired about the conditions of the jail since his imprisonment. Imran Khan informed Panjotha that he is being held in a cramped and dimly lit C-Class room, where he claimed there’s a public lavatory without a shower. He also alleged that the room becomes infested with ants in the evening and flies in the morning.
Regarding food, Imran Khan shared that he is provided with the usual “daal” and “saag,” but he expressed no grievances about it. He indicated that he would be prepared for even a D-Class jail if necessary. Imran Khan instructed Panjotha to communicate to the media that he will never accept subjugation. He also expressed gratitude towards his party members and senior leadership for their unwavering support.

Imran Khan’s detention last Saturday was referenced by Panjotha, who mentioned that Khan’s residence had been targeted for the third time, with attempts made to breach the door of Bushra Bibi’s and his bedroom. According to Panjotha, Imran Khan directed the party’s legal team to pursue legal action against individuals who were involved in the “attack” and “intrusion” at Zaman Park.
Furthermore, Panjotha revealed that the PTI core committee will make decisions collectively after consulting with him, emphasizing that no unilateral decisions will be taken. Imran Khan conveyed the importance of continuing the “fight against subjugation” and advocating for nonviolent protests.
Panjotha additionally informed that Imran Khan is prohibited from engaging in phone conversations or meetings with anyone. He mentioned that he was the only person who had met with Imran Khan since his arrest.
