On Saturday, Sharjah residents found some relief from the scorching heat as a sandstorm swept through the Emirate in the late afternoon, followed by a heavy downpour, police urge motorists to drive with caution.
The combination of sand and rain made it challenging for motorists to navigate the slippery roads. The Wasit suburb experienced light to moderate rain, as reported by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Amidst these weather conditions, the Sharjah Police issued warnings to drivers, urging them to exercise caution while on the roads. Additionally, residents were advised to avoid canyons and flooded areas to ensure their safety.
Furthermore, the Sharjah Police emphasized the importance of following directives and guidelines issued by the police and competent authorities during such weather events.
The rain was not limited to Sharjah alone, as parts of Dubai and Ajman also experienced rainfall. Specifically, NCM reported light to moderate rain in Deira.
