Pakistan has carried out airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan based on intelligence information, the Ministry of Information said. According to initial reports, 22 terrorists were killed in the operation.
In a statement posted on the Ministry of Information’s official X account, it said the operation was conducted under Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, targeting hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hind.
The ministry said the targeted airstrikes completely destroyed terrorist shelters, weapons and large stockpiles of explosives.
According to the Ministry of Information, special measures were taken during the air operation to protect civilians and minimize casualties.
The statement said Pakistan seeks peace in the region and would not compromise on the safety of its citizens. It added that the use of Afghan territory against Pakistan remains a serious concern for Islamabad.
The Ministry of Information further stated that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism allegedly backed by external forces.
