Aamir Ata Barry has been elected to the LCCI Executive Committee with 1460 votes becoming one of only two PPBA Alliance candidates to win despite Vision Alliance’s historic 13 seat sweep.
In the recent Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections, the Vision Alliance swept everything in its path — 13 out of 15 Corporate Class seats and a clean sweep of the Associate Class, sending the PPBA Alliance to one of its worst defeats in recent memory.
But some names cannot be beaten. Whichever panel they stand for. Whatever the wave against them.
Aamir Ata Barry is one of those names.
Standing on the PPBA Alliance panel of Mian Anjum Nisar — the group that suffered the most decisive defeat in this election — Aamir Ata Barry polled 1,460 votes on the strength of nothing but his personal reputation, his standing in Lahore’s business community and the saakh he has built across decades of consistent professional and civic engagement.
He was one of only two PPBA candidates to win a seat. The other was Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry with 1,478 votes.

Alongside that anchor role, he has built a parallel portfolio of leadership positions. President of Apache Consulting since 2019. Chief Executive Officer of Stratford Controls since November 2020. Aamir Ata Barry is a product of some of Lahore’s and Pakistan’s most respected educational institutions. He studied at Beaconhouse School System and FC College Lahore before completing his higher education at the International American University, where he earned a BCS in Computer Science from 1986 to 1989 and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from 1989 to 1991.
A computer science foundation combined with an MBA in marketing and finance is the precise academic combination that explains how he has managed to lead technology, consulting, controls and food and beverage businesses simultaneously across a career spanning more than three decades.
