Pakistan and Japan are set to deepen cooperation in startups, innovation, and emerging technologies through a high-level forum titled “Building Startup and Innovation Partnerships”, scheduled to take place on July 15, 2026, at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo.
The event will bring together government officials, startup founders, investors, technology companies, innovation organizations, and ecosystem leaders from both countries to explore new opportunities for collaboration in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, Web3, investment, and digital transformation.

The forum aims to create stronger public and private sector connections while encouraging practical partnerships between Pakistani and Japanese startups, investors, accelerators, universities, and corporate innovation teams.
According to the organizers, the event will focus on cross-border market access, startup funding, talent development, innovation ecosystem growth, and corporate-startup collaboration to support emerging technology ventures in both countries.
The programme will begin with registration and guest arrival, followed by welcome remarks from representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo.
The opening address will be delivered by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, while Ms. Hinza Asif, President of Asia Web3 Alliance Japan (AWAJ), will present opening remarks.
A keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Kawasaki Hideto, Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Affairs, highlighting Japan’s growing engagement with regional innovation ecosystems and digital partnerships.
One of the key highlights of the event will be a panel discussion titled “Building Pakistan–Japan Startup and Innovation Ecosystem Partnerships,” where experts and industry leaders will discuss practical mechanisms to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The discussion will cover startup investment, market access, corporate partnerships, innovation policy, and opportunities for entrepreneurs working in emerging sectors such as AI, Web3, and digital technologies.
The event will conclude with a networking reception, allowing founders, investors, government representatives, innovation hubs, research institutions, and business associations to connect and explore future partnerships.
Participation in the event will require prior registration and approval from the Embassy of Pakistan. Confirmed attendees will also be required to present valid photo identification and business cards for security verification.
Industry observers view the initiative as an important step towards strengthening Pakistan’s global technology engagement and positioning the country as an emerging player in regional startup and innovation ecosystems.
