Pakistan’s military says any hostile action against the country will be met with greater strength and precision, as the nation marks one year since the 2025 military confrontation with India.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has declared that any future hostile design against Pakistan will be countered with “even greater strength, precision and resolve” than what adversaries witnessed during “Marka-i-Haq,” the state-designated title for the 2025 military conflict with India.
The statement was issued late Wednesday night to mark the first anniversary of the confrontation that began after the April 22 Pahalgam incident and culminated in Pakistan’s Operation Bunyanum Marsoos before a ceasefire was reached on May 10, 2025.
PAF’s role hailed as historic
ISPR said the Pakistan Air Force had demonstrated exceptional professionalism during the conflict, describing the operations as unprecedented in the history of aerial warfare.
The military’s media wing stated that the PAF had strengthened national confidence and accelerated its transformation into a “future-ready air power” through advanced technologies, modern systems, and multi-domain operational capabilities.
“The successful execution of these operations renewed the pride, confidence, and spirit of the resilient Pakistani nation,” the statement said.
“Peace with honor and dignity”
ISPR emphasized that Pakistan remained a peace-loving country committed to regional stability, but warned that evolving geopolitical threats required continued preparedness.
“Peace for Pakistan has always been inseparable from honor, dignity, and sovereign equality,” the statement added.
The military also said Pakistan’s armed forces were investing heavily in advanced capabilities and remained fully prepared for future challenges in warfare.
PAF chief recalls May 2025 conflict
Separately, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu addressed a commemorative ceremony, saying the world witnessed the result of years of military modernization during the May 2025 escalation.
He stated that India blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident without evidence and created what he described as a hostile environment through “immature and hasty measures.”
According to the air chief, when India launched attacks on May 7, 2025, the PAF responded immediately despite being numerically outmatched.
“Despite being outnumbered, PAF fought aggressively and denied the enemy the opportunity to enter our airspace,” he said.
He further claimed that several Indian aircraft were shot down within minutes after hostilities escalated, while Pakistani forces successfully neutralized drones launched during the conflict.
“World stunned by Pakistan’s operations.”
The air chief described the military campaign as the first instance of full-spectrum multi-domain operations in modern aerial warfare.
“The world was stunned to witness the superb execution of PAF operations,” he said, adding that Pakistan exercised restraint despite its operational advantage.
He credited the success to military modernization carried out over the previous five years, along with coordination among Pakistan’s armed forces and political leadership.
Ishaq Dar praises national unity
Ishaq Dar also paid tribute to the armed forces and the Pakistani public, calling the anniversary a symbol of courage, unity, and national resolve.
“When a nation stands as one, no force on earth can shake its foundation,” he said.
Dar stated that Pakistan’s response during the conflict was “measured, responsible, and precise,” while reaffirming the country’s commitment to diplomacy and regional peace.
At the same time, he warned that any threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with “national unity, unshakable resolve, and strength through all means available.”
