Veteran media executive Ghufran Kakakhel has been appointed Co-Owner and CEO of Alief TV, bringing nearly three decades of experience to Pakistan’s first character and nation-building focused channel.
Alief TV, Pakistan’s first channel dedicated to character and nation-building, has announced the appointment of seasoned media professional Ghufran Kakakhel as its Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer.
Kakakhel brings nearly three decades of experience to the role, with a media career spanning from 1998 to 2026. He began his professional journey in Dubai, UAE, working with Seaview Art Productions before returning to Pakistan to take on senior editorial and management roles across major television networks.
Over the years, he has served in key positions at Aaj TV, Express News, Chanel Tek, ATV, and PTV, building a reputation for leadership, newsroom strategy, and content development.
Academically, Kakakhel holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Karachi, a background that has shaped his understanding of geopolitics, national discourse, and public communication.
Alief TV said his appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the channel’s mission to promote positive values, social responsibility, and national development through impactful programming.
