MCB Bank has partnered with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to introduce a new travel discount offer for passengers across Pakistan. Under this collaboration, MCB cardholders can now avail a 10% discount on PIA tickets when paying with eligible MCB Bank cards. The offer applies exclusively to tickets booked directly through PIA’s official website, mobile application, or authorized booking offices. Tickets purchased through third-party agents or external platforms are not eligible. The promotion remains valid until November 2026, providing travelers extended benefits during the coming months.
The discount is applicable on the base fare only and is capped at Rs. 10,000 per booking. Each MCB card can be used for a maximum of two discounted transactions per month. PIA has clarified that blackout dates and route-based restrictions may apply depending on operational requirements. The airline also retains the right to modify or suspend the offer during peak travel periods. This initiative is expected to enhance customer experience by making air travel more affordable amid rising travel costs.
This partnership comes during a major transition for PIA, following its partial privatization. An Arif Habib–led consortium recently acquired a 75% stake in the national carrier for Rs. 135 billion, marking one of Pakistan’s most significant privatization deals in nearly two decades. Industry analysts believe such promotional collaborations can help rebuild customer confidence and increase passenger volumes during this transformation phase.
