Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, its most futuristic smartphone yet — and it’s arriving in Korea in just a few days. After years of leaks, prototypes, and speculation, Samsung has finally taken the wraps off its triple-folding phone, marking one of the biggest hardware leaps the mobile industry has seen in years.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will hit shelves in Korea on December 12, with rollouts planned for China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE shortly after. Customers in the United States will need to wait until the first quarter of 2026, though Samsung has not confirmed the exact release date.
A New Era of Foldables
The TriFold introduces a bold inward-folding, three-panel design built to protect its massive display. Samsung added smart protection features too—if you fold it incorrectly, the phone automatically vibrates and flashes an alert, preventing accidental damage.
Unfolded, the device transforms into a 10-inch tablet-like screen, offering more room than any previous Galaxy Fold device. When folded, the cover screen becomes a familiar 6.5-inch display, making it practical for everyday use.
Despite its advanced design, the TriFold’s build is surprisingly thin. It measures 3.9mm when unfolded and 12.9mm when folded, though it does weigh more than the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at 309 grams.
Compared to the Fold 7 — which expands to just 8 inches — the TriFold is essentially a full tablet that collapses into a smartphone, thanks to its two-hinge configuration. This gives users a massive viewing area for gaming, multitasking, editing, and entertainment.
Reinforced Durability for Daily Use
Foldable phones face unique durability challenges, and Samsung appears to have addressed them. The TriFold’s three display panels close with a minimal gap but never make contact, helping reduce wear over time. The hinges are reinforced and the main display includes a new protective overcoat for extra scratch and pressure resistance.
Power Meets Innovation
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z TriFold runs on a custom Snapdragon 8 processor, optimized for multitasking across the extended screen. It packs a 5,600mAh triple-cell battery with 45W super-fast charging support, enabling quick top-ups despite its large power capacity.
Samsung has equipped the phone with the same flagship camera setup found on the Fold 7:
-
200MP wide-angle lens
-
12MP ultra-wide lens
-
10MP telephoto lens
Both the main display and cover display include 10MP front-facing cameras, ensuring consistent quality whether the device is folded or open.
Expected Premium Pricing
Samsung hasn’t announced pricing yet — but considering the Fold 7 starts at $2,000, analysts expect the TriFold to cost significantly more. The engineering complexity and additional hinge almost guarantee a premium price tag.
A Bold Step Forward
With the Galaxy Z TriFold, Samsung is signaling the next evolution of mobile devices. It’s more than a phone and more than a tablet — it’s an ambitious fusion of both, built for users who want maximum screen space without sacrificing portability.
As foldables continue gaining momentum, the TriFold may be the device that pushes the industry into a new era of multi-panel smartphones.

Heard some buzz about king79, so gave it a shot. Selection’s alright, nothing spectacular, but keeps you entertained. Customer service responded pretty quickly when I had a question. Worth a look if you’re searching for something new.
