Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, hailed as the King Khan of Bollywood, celebrated a remarkable milestone on Sunday as he completed 31 glorious years in the Hindi film industry.
Reflecting on his journey, the 57-year-old icon expressed that his proudest achievement is the ability to entertain countless individuals repeatedly. Prior to his illustrious film career, Shah Rukh Khan began captivating audiences through his performances in popular TV serials like “Fauji” and “Circus.”
It was on June 25, 1992, when he made his grand entrance into the world of feature films with Raj Kanwar’s “Deewana,” a romantic drama that also starred Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti.
Imran Malik – Shah Rukh Khan’s four best films
Since day one, I have been a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan, and I must say that there are four films of his that I love the most.
“Dil Se” is at the top of my list. SRK’s portrayal of a radio jockey in this film, directed by the maestro Mani Ratnam, was exceptional. With music by the magician AR Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar, it is undoubtedly one of SRK’s best works. His acting was brilliant, and his performance on songs, especially “Sat Rangi Re,” was awe-inspiring.
Another film that I hold dear is “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (DDLJ). As a chocolate hero, SRK delivered a masterpiece under the direction of Aditya Chopra, supervised by the late Yash Chopra. Released in 1995, it continues to run in cinemas in Mumbai. It’s not only one of SRK’s best performances but also showcases the incredible acting of Kajol and Amrish Puri.
“Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” (KKKG), a family drama by Karan Johar, also holds a special place in my heart. SRK’s flawless performance in this movie once again established him as the best-loved actor in the industry. The music is outstanding, and the performances by Rani Mukherjee and Kajol elevate the overall quality of KKKG. The direction, acting, and picturesque locations all contribute to making this film a favorite of mine.
Last but not least, “Devdas” is another Shah Rukh Khan film that I adore. Playing the iconic role of Devdas after Dilip Kumar was a significant challenge for SRK, but he delivered a memorable performance. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s direction, the stunning set designs, and the captivating screenplay made this film one of the all-time hits in Bollywood cinema.
These four films showcase Shah Rukh Khan’s versatility and talent, and they remain my favorites for their exceptional performances, captivating music, and remarkable direction.
