TV host and actress Ayesha Jehanzeb has shared her thoughts about challenges women face in their careers. In a recent podcast, she openly discussed how the women in media industry are often viewed unfairly. She said that just like other professions, women working in media are wrongly considered “available” and seen more as gender than as professionals.
Ayesha explained that she personally values kindness and compassion in men. For her, money, cars, clothes, and shoes are not important. She said money is needed for daily life but has no role in defining a person’s character. She compared money to an unfaithful partner—sometimes it is there, and sometimes it is not.
Talking about beauty, she said that it helps on the screen but cannot guarantee long-term success. According to her, intelligence matters more. Without wisdom, no one can achieve real success. People relying only on looks may stay visible on the screen but cannot grow in their careers.
She further said that sadly, the women in media industry face the same stigma that women in other sectors face. Society often labels them as “available” when they go out to work. She admitted that men also face judgments, but because Pakistan is a male-dominated society, women suffer more.
Her bold statement highlights the struggles women deal with daily. It shows how female professionals are judged not by their skills but by unfair stereotypes. Ayesha Jehanzeb’s words shed light on the importance of changing these mindsets and respecting women for their talent, not their gender.
