Pakistani lawmaker Ali Wazir, known for his dissenting views, has been arrested once again, several months after being released in a sedition case. According to media reports, the Pashtun activist was apprehended by the Pakistan Army near the Saplagh checkpost on Monday.
Earlier this year, Ali Wazir was set free in February after spending two years in prison on charges of alleged sedition.
Unverified reports suggest that his recent arrest follows his speech at the Miranshah sit-in, during which he used defamatory language against prominent figures, including the founder of the nation.
