The Pakistani entertainment industry — also known as Dramaistan — has become a shining example of how to break spirits while filming tearjerkers. “We’ve made crying an art form, both on screen and in the accounts department,” one anonymous actor whispered while holding back tears and an unpaid invoice from 2021.
