Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has declared that the admission test for medical and dental colleges, known as MDCAT, will be conducted.
The test is scheduled for September 22, 2024.
The test will be held in 30 sites nationwide, with extra facilities arranged in Dubai and Riyadh for candidates from abroad.
Various government universities in the provinces have been tasked with administering the MD CAT exam. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences Lahore will conduct the exam, while Dow University of Health Sciences will handle the procedure in Sindh.
Khyber Medical University Peshawar, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University will respectively manage exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Islamabad. The responsibility of conducting the examination for Gilgit-Baltistan students will lie with Karakoram International University.
Out of 174,744 applications submitted for the MD CAT, 167,000 were deemed eligible for the exam following a rigorous evaluation. Candidates should regularly check the official PM&DC website for the most recent updates on the entrance test.
The President of PM&DC has urged all candidates to study hard for the upcoming exam and has promised that all essential preparations have been completed for a fair and transparent testing procedure.
