While ordinary people anticipate a decrease in the prices of petroleum products, the drop in global prices also indicates that fuel prices may soon decrease for people in Pakistan.
The average worldwide cost of gasoline has recently dropped from $82.50 to $80.40 per barrel, suggesting that local gasoline prices could go down.
Media reports suggest that the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan may reduce by approximately Rs5 to Rs6 per liter for the next 15 days starting from September 1.
The possible decrease in price is a result of the recent drop in global oil prices from $2 to $2.30 over the last 2 weeks.
This expected price cut comes after the last cut in the price of petrol on 14th August in which the Federal government of Pakistan decreased the price of petrol by Rs 8.47 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 6.70 per liter. If this anticipated cut occurs, it will provide much relief to the masses in Pakistan.
