Rumors are circulating on social media about a potential romantic relationship between India’s javelin star Neeraj Chopra and pistol shooter Manu Bhaker after their impressive performances at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The rumors started circulating when the two athletes were spotted socializing with each other and Manu’s mother at a gathering after the event.
Nevertheless, both families promptly shut down these rumors. Ram Kishan Bhaker, the father of Manu, has made it clear that his daughter is not old enough for marriage and that any rumors about a romantic involvement with Neeraj Chopra are unfounded.
Ram Kishan told Dainik Bhaskar that Manu is still very young and they are not considering marriage at the moment, brushing off the increasing rumors about them.
Ram Kishan elaborated on the fact that Manu’s mother has a strong maternal connection with Neeraj Chopra, which accounts for their close interaction during the event. He stressed that Manu’s mother regards Neeraj as a son, clarifying that their bond is purely platonic, not romantic.
Neeraj Chopra’s uncle also spoke about the rumors, assuring fans that any important updates regarding Neeraj’s personal life will be disclosed at the appropriate time.
He commented that just like the entire nation was aware of Neeraj’s medal win, everyone will also be informed about his wedding when he chooses to tie the knot, ending any assumptions about the athlete’s upcoming marriage arrangements.
Neeraj and Manu were both honored for their successes at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Manu won two bronze medals in shooting, while Neeraj earned a silver medal to go along with his gold from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Both athletes are concentrating on their careers and marriage is not something they are thinking about right now, despite their accomplishments.
