Farewell to News Channels!
I was very disappointed after watching 365 News. The outcome was predictable, as a similar experiment had been seen before with Aik News.
The blame doesn’t lie solely with the News channel’s owners; it’s also with the so-called “media professionals” who are mere ‘Dehari Baaz’. This is not an appropriate term, but it reflects those in the media who do just enough to keep their jobs for a while, causing real professionals to suffer.
Anyway, looking at the screen of 365 News, it seems there’s no plan—grab this, grab that, and launch another channel. The new channels have no vision and no editorial direction.
Well, if there’s a second-tier vision, you’ll end up with channels like these, and in any case, digital sharks have already devoured them.
Don’t expect these channels to survive the next two or three years… unless a miracle happens, and the firewall gives the channel owners some brilliant plan, or the digital news content weakens—only then can you hope. Otherwise… farewell to news channels! – Courtesy: Imran Patel
Can 365 News prosper under Muneeb and Mubasher’s Leadership?
Muneeb Farooq is leading the team at News 365. Previously, Muneeb was associated with Geo News, where he co-anchored the famous program “Aapas Ki Baat” with Najam Sethi.
During the show, he had the responsibility of asking questions to Najam Sethi. After Najam Sethi left Geo, Muneeb was given the entire show as an independent host.
However, after some time, the ratings did not favor him, leading him to leave Geo News and join Samaa News. But Muneeb Farooq lacks the charisma that sets anchors apart, and his analyses don’t have the depth that captivates viewers.
Therefore, after leaving Samaa News, he has now been appointed as the Head of News at News 365. It is rumored that this channel is close to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), as Sharjeel Memon played a key role in transforming it from Talon News to 365.
And names like Sharjeel Memon and Naveed Qamar are being mentioned. Now, let’s see how far Muneeb Farooq and the washed-up Mubashir Lucman can take this channel. – Courtesy Imran Malik
