The UAE Cabinet has approved National Day holidays for the federal government from December 2 to 4, 2023, with federal government employees returning to work on December 5.
December 1 has been designated as a remote working day for employees of UAE ministries and federal entities.
Private sector workers in the UAE will enjoy paid public holidays on December 2 and 3 in celebration of the 52nd UAE National Day, as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
Festivities for the 52nd UAE Union Day, taking place from November 22 to December 3, will include a range of events across cultural and tourism spots in Sharjah.
The activities will encompass a national march, folk dances, night markets, traditional food, military band performances, and more.

Various regions, including Al Dhaid, Al Bataeh, Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Al Mudam, have planned unique events and shows to showcase their heritage and celebrate the national occasion. The Heritage Village has already hosted activities such as poetry recitals, traditional folk songs, cultural video screenings, interactive workshops, and sports competitions in anticipation of the 52nd National Day.
