In March 2023, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received 17,092 grievances from consumers of various telecom operators, including cellular mobile operators (CMOs), Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), long-distance international (LDI) operators, wireless local loop (WLL) operators, and internet service providers (ISPs).
The data shows that 99.2 percent of the complaints were resolved, totaling 16,956. The majority of complaints were against cellular mobile operators, with 16,547 grievances received and 16,460 resolved (99.5 percent). Jazz received the most complaints, with 7,684 filed, and 99.9 percent of them resolved.
Telenor received 3,081 complaints, out of which 3,078 (99.9 percent) were resolved. Meanwhile, 3,964 complaints were received against Zong, of which 3,948 (99.6 percent) were addressed. Ufone received 1,810 complaints, with a resolution rate of 96.91 percent. There were also 141 grievances against basic telephony, and 121 of them (85.8 percent) were resolved. Finally, PTA received 395 complaints against ISPs, of which 367 (92.9 percent) were addressed.
