Amna Amir Shehzad, a remarkable 10-year-old from Karachi, is challenging societal norms and expectations by fearlessly pursuing her ambition to become a data scientist.
What sets her apart is not only her dedication to her dream but also her role as an assistant teacher at Karachi University, where she imparts her knowledge to others.
Amna’s journey commenced with her early introduction to technology through the Saylani Techno Kids program, which laid a strong foundation for her rapid advancement. Despite her young age, she swiftly mastered various programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
She even ventured into web hosting platforms like GitHub and Firebase. Her hard work bore fruit when she secured the third position across the city in the Rechnokids program. This program exposed her to a diverse range of tech courses, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and Canva.
Her exceptional skills caught the attention of her teacher and sister when she completed a challenging HTML task in record time. This led to an unexpected internship offer and subsequently paved the way for her to become an assistant teacher at Karachi University.
Simultaneously, she continues her technical training at software houses affiliated with Karachi University. Amna successfully manages her traditional schooling commitments alongside online courses provided by Saylani.
Amna’s ambitions extend beyond personal success. Her goal is to democratize technology education, making it accessible to all, especially children from the middle and lower-middle-class backgrounds. Her determination to bridge the socioeconomic technology gap highlights her compassion and drive to empower young minds.
