UAE Braces for Rain, Thunder, and Lightning: National Centre of Meteorology Forecasts Stormy Weather

The UAE is set to experience unstable weather conditions from Friday to Tuesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

This is due to a surface air depression extending from the southwest and humid southeasterly winds, along with an upper air depression and northwest air current bringing various amounts of rain and clouds from the west and southwest.

Thursday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and dusty, with a drop in temperatures and humidity at night, possibly leading to fog formation in some inland and coastal areas on Friday morning.

Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active, causing dust stirring, with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 kilometers/hour, reaching up to 40 kilometers/hour. The sea will be turbulent to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

Over Friday and Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with light to moderat.

From Sunday to Tuesday, clouds will increase in certain regions, accompanied by light to moderate rains, occasionally heavy, along with thunder and lightning. Temperatures will drop due to the deepening of the upper air depression. Cloud cover is anticipated to decrease gradually from Tuesday evening.

Winds will shift from southeasterly to northeasterly, then to northwesterly, ranging from moderate to strong, especially with clouds and dust stirring, potentially reducing horizontal visibility. The sea will be light to moderate, occasionally turbulent in the Arabian Gulf from Sunday, and turbulent in the Sea of Oman, particularly with cumulus clouds.
