The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, has been appointed as a mentor for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme.
This global initiative aims to develop the next generation of cricket leaders by fostering diversity and encouraging innovation in the sport.
Expressing his excitement, Salman Naseer said, “It’s an honor that the ICC chose me for this role.”
As part of the programme, he will dedicate several hours each week to mentoring emerging cricket professionals, selected by the ICC for their leadership potential. These candidates are paired with experienced mentors like Naseer to help them navigate the challenges of leadership within the cricketing ecosystem.
Salman Naseer has been with the PCB since 2011, playing a pivotal role in drafting and implementing rules, codes, and policies that govern cricket regulations and the behavior of players, staff, and coaches. His expertise extends to representing players at conferences, prosecuting breaches of the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code, and overseeing commercial contracts, including media, franchise, and licensing rights.
This appointment underscores Naseer’s extensive experience and influence in cricket administration on both national and international platforms.
