Rebel Wilson’s tell-all book delayed indefinitely in Australia amid Sacha Baron Cohen harassment allegations

Since hitting shelves in the US, Rebel Wilson’s new memoir ‘Rebel Rising’ has been dominating headlines.

Despite its availability in the US, Rebel Wilson’s book publication has faced delays in Australia and the UK, initially slated for release the same week.

HarperCollins, the publisher, attributed the sudden change to Wilson’s plans for a press tour. While the UK launch is now scheduled for April 25, an Australian release date remains uncertain, with HarperCollins aiming to announce a new date soon.

Wilson hinted on social media that the delay may not solely be due to a press tour, implying involvement from someone else. Notably, she referred to an “a**hole” causing the delay.

Wilson’s claims of harassment denied by Baron Cohen:

Baron Cohen has denied Wilson’s claims that he harassed her by pressuring her to get naked and asking her to perform lewd scenes without her prior consent while filming “The Brothers Grimsby.”

In an excerpt from Wilson’s book published by People, Wilson wrote that she was left “scared” by Baron Cohen’s requests.

Baron Cohen’s team provided counter-evidence from crew members present during the alleged incident, contradicting Wilson’s account.
