Gold Prices Surge in Local and International Markets

Karachi, Pakistan: On Monday, the price of gold experienced a notable surge in the local market, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold witnessing an increase of Rs2,800.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, it was sold at Rs237,600, compared to its previous rate of Rs234,800.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold rose by Rs2,401, reaching Rs203,704 as opposed to its earlier price of Rs201,303.

Additionally, 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw an increase, now priced at Rs186,728 compared to Rs184,528 previously.

Despite these fluctuations in gold prices, the rates for per tola and ten grams of silver remained unchanged, trading at Rs.2,600 and Rs.2,211.93, respectively.

Internationally, the price of gold also saw an upward trend, rising by $24 to $2,278 from $2,254, as reported by the Association.

The surge in gold prices reflects fluctuations in global markets and investor sentiment, with many turning to gold as a safe-haven asset during times of economic uncertainty.
